The NEW! Flicker Free 3.0 is a powerful and simple way to remove flicker from your video. We offer presets for different types of footage, making it easy to eliminate flicker caused by out-of-sync cameras, time-lapse, or slow-motion video. Flicker Free will work on any-sized footage, and can remedy most types of light flicker you can encounter in the field; strobing from slow motion or timelapse, rolling bands from LED or fluorescent lights, as well as the brightness variances seen in old archival or aerial drone footage.
Rolling Bands and Slow Motion are probably the two most common things Flicker Free is used for. The new algorithm in FF 3.0 helps solve instances where either the bands are slow-moving or the flicker is stretched out over longer time frames (e.g. high frame rate video like 2000fps).
Flicker Free offers several presets for different types of footage. They make it easy to get the right flicker removal settings very quickly, without reading a huge manual. These are the settings we’ve found to work well in our tests. They often remove flicker instantly or require very minor tweaking. Either way, the presets make excellent starting points to save your footage.
Video plugins should make your life easier. The software should be doing the hard work behind the scenes so you can get work done quickly without watching hours of training videos. Flicker Free is not a plugin you need to use all the time, but when you do have flicker on video footage there’s no need to re-learn it every time you use it.
Flicker Free doesn’t require any ‘pre-analysis’ to work. Just choose your de-flicker preset, drag and drop it on top of your clip. If Flicker Free works on a couple of seconds of your video, it’ll remove flicker on the rest of it.
Flicker Free 3.0 uses optical flow algorithms to detect and delineate independently moving objects, even in the presence of camera motion. These integrated motion-estimation algorithms are highly effective for repairing footage that was previously unfixable.
